St. Rita School will berecognizing Red Ribbon Week from Oct 28-Nov 1st. Red Ribbon Week is a nationalprogram which is the United States largest and longest-running drug preventionawareness campaign, which began as a tribute to fallen DEA special agentEnrique Camerena in 1985.
Here at St. Rita's, we promote the program in terms for our youngstudents to understand, by “Making Healthy Choices for today,tomorrow, and forever".
The students will participatein different activities throughout the week here at school. Students will colorred ribbons and discuss what they want to be when they grow older, and howbeing healthy is an important aspect of that journey. Students will also readstories of making healthy choices, and during the week with a dress down day on Tuesday, October 29th, wearing bright colored clothes for the theme day of "My future isbright when I stay healthy!"
In support of our choice tomake healthy choices for a lifetime, we would love if all our students could bring in a picture of themselves "making ahealthy choice". We will have a collage displayed in ourgymnasium throughout the year with our students showing their interests andhealthy habits both in and out of school. Pictures will be welcomed next week,or any day that they can bring them in to add to our healthy collage throughoutthe school year.
If you are inspired too, add a Red Ribbon to your home, or outsidein your yard to promote the message in your neighborhoods.

Dear Parents:
Your child, grades 2-5, is welcome to join St. Rita Angel Choir. Children will sing, learn music fundamentals, learn about ministry at the Catholic Mass, and learn and play our Tone Chime Instruments as well.
Rehearsals are on most Tuesdays at 2:30-3:30pm starting Tuesday, 9/24/24 (pick up and sign-out at doors near the gym, at the front circle).
We sing at the St. Rita Church School Spirit/Donut Sunday 10:30 Masses
(every 3rd Sunday of the Month) on these dates:
Sunday, 10/20, 11/17, 12/15, 1/19/25, 2/16/25, 3/16/25, Easter Sunday 4/20 at 9:30 am mass, 5/18/25 and 6/15/25

School Spirit Sundays are Back!
This month featuring 3rd & 4th Grade.
Join us at the 10:30 Family Mass the 3rd Sunday of the month to see your friends and classmates participate in the Mass in a special way. Students from featured grades are invited to participate each month and all students who wear their dress uniforms will receive a dress down pass for the following week. Do you love donuts? Free donuts, juice, and coffee are available after Mass. Watch your email for a sign up for your child(ren) to participate in the Mass as a greeter, reader, gift bearer, or altar server.
Can’t make it to the 10:30? Come to any Mass this weekend (5 pm Saturday or 8 am Sunday) for the Family Mass experience – a homily aimed at our young friends and treats after Mass.
